Amazon Shopping And Prime Account Hacked With No Recovery Help
I am writing regarding my hacked Amazon Shopping and Prime account registered in the United States. This past Tuesday, I received an email showing several purchases that I did not make. When I checked my account, I saw that the hacker had removed my email address and phone number from the account, and I have been completely unable to access it since. As soon as I realized what had happened, I cancelled the card that was on file, and so far I have not seen any unauthorized charges post to my bank, but my account still remains inaccessible and compromised. Since discovering the issue, I have contacted Amazon phone support three separate times and provided my full name and a past order number each time to help identify the account. On Tuesday, I was told that I would receive a call back, but no one ever contacted me. On Thursday, I was told I would receive an email with a link to resolve the issue, but that email never arrived. Today, I called again and was finally given an email address for the recovery department. During this call, I asked to speak with a supervisor about how this situation has been handled, but the representative told me that speaking to a supervisor was not possible, which I find unacceptable given the seriousness of an account hack. At this point, I would like Amazon to urgently restore my account access and fully secure my Amazon Shopping and Prime account, including removing any hacker information and confirming that my contact details and security settings are correctly restored. I expect this matter to be treated as a priority, with clear communication and timely follow-up, so that I can safely use my Amazon account again.
