Unauthorized Fee Despite Customer Service Promise

I had previously wanted to cancel my Akbank Axess Platinum MC credit card (last 4 digits: 3376) because it no longer offered advantages compared to rival banks. At that time, when I called customer service, the representative convinced me to keep the card open. I specifically stated that I did not want to pay fees such as the card membership fee, and I was assured that if such a fee appeared, I could call and they would cancel it. Based on this assurance, I did not close my card. However, I saw that my September 2025 statement included a card membership fee of ₺1,149.50. On 27.09.2025, I called customer service, and a representative named Mr. V***** spoke to me harshly and said only half of the fee could be refunded. Despite the bank’s promises, charging the full fee and the representative’s attitude disturbed me greatly. I request a full refund of the card membership fee and expect Akbank to keep its word and resolve my grievance.
