I Was Charged Membership Fee on My Credit Card

On 15/09/2025, I noticed a fee of ₺1,149.5 charged under the name “membership fee” on the statement of my Akbank Axess credit card (last four digits: 0202). I actively use my card, and I would like to note that this fee has been charged for the first time. I am a customer of the Bartın branch, and I do not have any special agreement or campaign linked to my card. I believe this fee was collected in violation of the Consumer Law and related regulations. By law, banks are required to provide credit cards without annual membership fees, and there are clear provisions regarding the refund of such fees. Therefore, I request the cancellation and refund of the ₺1,149.5 membership fee charged. So far, I have not contacted customer service. I ask for the immediate refund of this fee; otherwise, I will file a complaint with the Banks Association and the Consumer Arbitration Committee, and I will also transfer all my bill payment instructions and salary account to another bank. I kindly request that my grievance be resolved as soon as possible.
