I have been facing multiple unresolved issues with my Akbank credit card. Despite having a ₺49,000 limit, the sum of my outstanding balance and available credit shows as ₺54,500, even though no annual fee or interest has been applied. Akbank representatives acknowledge the inconsistency and file internal complaints, yet I only receive generic responses claiming “no issue has been found.” Refunds from international purchases in EUR and USD are not reflected correctly; instead of being deducted, they appear as new charges. Although I was told these refunds would be offset from my TL balance by the due date, this never happened, and I paid the full amount myself. One representative offered to transfer the refund to my current account, but this was also mishandled—deducting the amount from my credit card as if it were a new transaction. I’m exhausted from repeatedly calling Akbank without a single proper resolution. Is there truly no one at Akbank capable of calculating card balances and processing refunds correctly? Because of these repeated failures, I will never use Akbank for international purchases again.
