Akbank Charged Hidden Fees on My Credit Card Installment Plan - Refuses a Refund
I had an issue with Akbank's credit card installment plan. The initial amount I wanted to split into installments was ₺22,500, and with three installments, the total payment was around ₺24,500. However, when I confirmed the transaction, an additional charge of over ₺2,000 was directly deducted from my credit card as if it were interest, but it did not appear in my account transactions. I only noticed it because my available credit limit decreased. Then, on February 23, the remaining balance of ₺18,969 was split into installments, bringing the total to ₺20,370, with an additional interest charge of around ₺1,500. I request the resolution of this issue and the refund of the ₺2,000+ charge deducted from my account on February 14. When I spoke with customer service, they told me that such a thing was not possible. However, since I only noticed the issue due to the reduction in my available limit and it does not appear in my transaction history, I insist on having this issue resolved.
Progress
Akbank credit card statement issue: Last month, I had my statement installment plan set up for around 6700 lira, divided into 3 installments. However, when I calculate my statement with the installment, it comes to around 15-20 thousand, but the statement I received is 31,800 lira. I asked the customer representative 3-4 times before the installment plan if the first installment would reflect on the next statement, and I was told yes, repeatedly, that the installments would reflect the following month. However, when I look at this month's statement, both last month's and the second installment are included. I want the issue to be resolved, my statement corrected, and my installments adjusted. Also, when the first installment plan was made, an amount like 2000 lira was blocked on my card, and this amount does not appear in my account transactions. I think it's time to change my bank if my issues won't be resolved.
