Akbank Charged Me Interest After I Joined CIP Points Campaign
Akbank ran a promotion offering ₺1000 in CIP points for setting up two automatic bill payment orders. I accepted the offer, but then they charged me ₺450 in automatic bill payment interest over three months. If they had informed me about this interest from the beginning, I would have never accepted it. This is clearly taking advantage of the customer—trying to recover more than the value of the CIP points they gave. No other bank applies such charges, and what they’re doing is purely deceptive. I no longer want to do business with a bank like Akbank. What kind of practice is it to play word games and mislead customers?
