Ajet Refused My Boarding Over Last Name Change Despite Official Documents

167

I bought a flight ticket from Ankara to Izmir with Ajet. This week, my last name changed, so I went to the check-in desk with my official document that included my Turkish ID and photo. As a student in Ankara planning to visit my family, I was completely taken aback when they refused to let me board the plane. I had checked in online, arrived at the airport on time, and spent an hour trying to show all the documents I had, but they were dismissive and simply said no. My official document, issued by a government office, clearly confirmed my identity. I don’t understand how they could deny me boarding based on this. I am incredibly upset by this experience.
