AJet Charged Me More Than My Ticket to Fly With My Dog
AJet Airlines is charging an exorbitant fee for pet transportation. I was asked to pay €98 to transport my 4 kg Chihuahua in a backpack-style soft carrier on a flight from Vienna to Istanbul. There is even an option to place the carrier under the front seat, yet the cost remains the same. My own ticket cost only €66, including taxes, so charging €98 for a dog that weighs less than my carry-on bag and sits under the seat is completely unreasonable. It’s illogical, opportunistic, and makes no sense at all. I paid €66 for myself, but my dog—who stays in a small bag on the floor—costs €98. This is far from normal.
