AirBaltic Forced Me to Pay €60 for Check-In Despite Online Check-In Option

I would like to report my disappointing experience with AirBaltic regarding its check-in process and the additional fees I was forced to pay.
I purchased round-trip airline tickets for travel between Oslo and Istanbul, with departure on July 11 and return on August 9. Prior to both flights, I attempted to complete the online check-in process through AirBaltic's official website as instructed.
However, despite multiple attempts, it was impossible to successfully complete online check-in. The system did not allow me to check in through the website, leaving me with no choice but to complete the process at the airport.
As a result, I was charged an additional €30 for check-in when traveling from Oslo and another €30 when departing from Istanbul, for a total of €60 in unexpected fees.
What makes this situation particularly frustrating is that many other passengers appeared to be experiencing the same issue. During the journey, numerous travelers expressed similar complaints about being unable to use the online check-in system and being forced to pay airport check-in fees instead.
Passengers should not be charged additional fees when the airline's own online systems fail to function properly. If online check-in is promoted as the standard option, customers must be provided with a working system that allows them to complete the process without unnecessary obstacles or extra costs.
I respectfully request that AirBaltic investigate the technical issues that prevented online check-in and review the airport check-in fees charged under these circumstances. I also request reimbursement of the €60 that I was required to pay solely because the online check-in system was unavailable or non-functional.
In addition, I ask AirBaltic to improve the reliability of its online check-in services and provide clear support to passengers who encounter technical problems, so that similar situations do not affect other travelers in the future.
I look forward to receiving a fair resolution and a response regarding the fees that were charged.
