Air Serbia System Delays Cause Missed Connection and Lost Luggage JU865534
Between July 1 and July 4, I purchased round-trip plane tickets with Air Serbia via Belgrade to Rome for my children and myself. Upon landing in Belgrade on our outbound flight to Rome, we went to the transfer desk; despite having less than 30 minutes left before the next flight, the agent claimed "the system is slow" and failed to complete the procedures on time, causing us to miss the plane. Although they initially tried to blame us, they admitted their mistake after we objected and explained the situation, subsequently providing assistance with accommodation and transfers. However, because of this, we were only able to get tickets for the 6:50 AM flight the next morning, completely losing a night we were supposed to spend in Rome.
On our return flight on July 4, 2026, on the Rome–Belgrade–İzmir route, we experienced an issue with our luggage this time. Although we were told in Rome that the baggage checked in would arrive at Adnan Menderes Airport, upon landing in İzmir, we realized our luggage was lost. We immediately filed a lost baggage claim at the airport; we were told that the bags had not arrived yet and that we would be notified once they arrived. We were issued the baggage tracking number JU865534, but as of now, our luggage is still missing.
Inside our lost luggage are clothes, shoes, purchased gifts, high-value perfumes, chargers, and other important and valuable items. We suffered a severe loss of time, money, and morale due to both the transfer hardship experienced on the outbound flight and the loss of our baggage on the return flight. I would particularly like to emphasize that after these experiences, I will never choose Air Serbia again.
I demand the resolution of all material and moral hardships we experienced, appropriate compensation for the night lost in Rome along with related expenses, as well as the urgent location and delivery of our lost luggage to us; should it not be found, I demand full financial compensation corresponding to the contents of our baggage.
