Air Serbia Ignores Luggage Claim Reference 000952/2026 After Damaging New Suitcase

Following my Belgrade–Istanbul flight JU422 with Air Serbia in January, I noticed that the bottom of my suitcase was broken when I picked it up at the baggage claim area. Furthermore, my suitcase was not old—it was a new, large luggage bag. Immediately upon disembarking the plane, I went to the baggage handling office at the airport to report the situation, and a damage report was created under my name.
Later, I received a claim approval email with reference number 000952/2026, and I submitted all requested documents and paperwork in full. Via email, I only received an automated, preliminary notice acknowledging the receipt of my claim. Aside from that, no concrete updates, resolution, or compensation progress regarding the status of my file was communicated to me.
Despite waiting for months, no information has been provided. Extending this process for so long and leaving the customer completely without an answer is unacceptable. I have been suffering significant hardship for a long time due to the damaged luggage. Unable to use my own suitcase, I was forced to borrow luggage from friends for different trips, putting me in a difficult situation both financially and emotionally.
It is unprofessional for an airline company to leave a fundamental customer issue like baggage damage unresolved for months and to break off communication. The most frustrating aspect is not even the hardship itself, but the fact that the process is completely ignored and no response is given.
I no longer want this matter to be prolonged. I demand that my file be finalized urgently, that the hardship I suffered be compensated, and that a clear explanation be provided to me. Otherwise, I will be forced to exercise my legal rights and escalate the situation to the relevant consumer protection authorities.
