Agoda Free Cancellation Scam – Reservation Can’t Be Canceled Despite Policy

I booked a refundable reservation through Agoda, but when I tried to cancel it, the site displayed a message saying that cancellation requires approval from the property. However, when I contacted the hotel directly, they told me that no cancellation request had ever been sent to them by Agoda.

As a result, Agoda is refusing to process the cancellation, even though I specifically booked a room with a free cancellation option. This situation is misleading and unfair to customers who rely on Agoda’s advertised flexibility.

I demand that Agoda immediately process my cancellation request and refund my payment in full as stated under the “free cancellation” policy I selected at the time of booking.
