Denied Boarding by Aeroflot Despite Arriving on Time for VKO Flight
We arrived at Vnukovo Airport two hours early for our 11:55 AM Aeroflot flight (VKO). We completed check-in, baggage drop-off, and passport control without any delays. We headed to the gate to wait, but a problem arose with the group ahead of us, causing a delay of about 10-15 minutes while they dealt with baggage and other issues.
Although the gate was scheduled to close at 11:35, they refused to let us board, despite us still having time. They should have allowed us to board as there were minutes left before the gate officially closed. No one properly assisted us, and they didn’t even provide a clear explanation. Despite it not being our fault, we were denied boarding.
As tourists, we received no refund or assistance with rebooking our tickets. I will be filing complaints with all necessary authorities, and if this issue isn’t resolved, I will take legal action with my lawyer once I return to Istanbul. You cannot leave me and my mother stranded in an unfamiliar place like this!
