If Aer Lingus changed your seat assignment without notice and you want to fix this before boarding;
Contact Aer Lingus support or the airport check-in desk with a clear escalation;
• State that your seat assignment was changed without notification
• Provide your booking reference (PNR), flight number/date, original seat number, and the new seat assigned
• Attach screenshots showing your original seat selection/receipt (if you paid for it) and the updated seat map
• Mention whether you paid extra for seat selection (extra legroom, aisle/window, preferred seat)
Ask them to;
• Explain why your seat was changed
• Restore your original seat if it’s still available
• Assign you a seat of equal or better value if the original one is no longer possible
• Refund the seat selection fee if they cannot provide an equivalent seat
• Provide written confirmation of the seat fix or refund
