AEG Washing Machine Board Fails Again, Service Fee Shocks Customer

My 9 kg AEG washing machine has only had its main control board replaced once in 8 years, back in 2020. Now it's burned out again. AEG Service is asking me for $1,069 as the service fee. I'm asking them how much the board itself costs. They won't tell me. It might be expensive. They say if I don't go through with it, then I'll have to pay the $1,069 service fee anyway. This is really shameful. There's no one looking after customer service.
