Yves Rocher Sunscreen Caused Breakouts on My Oily Skin Despite Staff Recommendation

I purchased a sunscreen from Yves Rocher after clearly telling the store staff that I have oily skin and needed products suited for my skin type. Based on their recommendation, I also bought a face wash, toner, perfume, and several other items. Until now, I had never experienced any problems with Yves Rocher products and genuinely trusted the brand.

However, the sunscreen has been a huge letdown. After just a few uses, it caused breakouts all over my face. Nearly every area of my skin reacted negatively—clogged pores, oily buildup, and acne that I haven’t dealt with in years. It’s extremely frustrating to spend good money on a product that was supposed to protect and support my skin, only to have it trigger exactly the issues I was trying to avoid.

I’m asking Yves Rocher to review the ingredients in this sunscreen and be more transparent about which products are truly non-comedogenic and safe for oily or acne-prone skin. I also expect a refund or some form of compensation for the skin issues this has caused. If your team is going to recommend products, they need to be accurate and appropriate for the customer’s skin needs.

It is truly a rare brand that is beautiful but has customer service in the negatives. We have been in contact for about a month, and every time they say the return is successful but then reject it. Today, I went again, and they said my return was approved, but now they claimed the amount of the product had increased, and this was not communicated to me. They said they would call me. It is an incredible lack of professionalism. The first time I went, I said I had used the product for 3 days, and they didn’t believe me. Now they claim the amount has increased. We are experiencing these problems because they didn’t check the weight the first time I came. I am out of words. Your revenue wouldn’t even be scratched by one sunscreen; you are just victimizing people. The employees are incredibly arrogant and see themselves above others. You are getting paid thanks to us. Beyond that, remember you are dealing with a human being, not a child. Who were you trying to fool? With the gas I spent going there, I could have bought 10 sunscreens. If you don’t want to experience victimization, do not choose them. They call and ask me to give a rating. Knowing I would have this kind of problem after giving 5 stars, I never participated in their surveys. Stay away.
