WhatsApp Is Asking for an Official Account - I Can’t Access My Chats

Hello, my WhatsApp says I need an official account, and I can no longer use it to access messages and chats. I don’t know how to get an official WhatsApp, as I was busy trying to download the new version and register, but nothing is happening—it still shows me the same message.
