Unwanted Call from Mexico-Based Number on WhatsApp – Privacy and Security Concern

Today, I received an unsolicited call from the number +52 662 124 7958 (Mexico). I have no personal, business, or any other connection to Mexico, so this call was completely unexpected and highly concerning.

I immediately blocked the number before answering and reported it using WhatsApp’s “Report” button. However, this raises serious privacy and security concerns regarding the safety of my personal information.

If my phone number has been compromised or misused for any unauthorized activities such as identity theft, fraudulent purchases, or account breaches, I will not be responsible. WhatsApp must take full accountability for ensuring user protection.
