I Received a Suspicious +237 WhatsApp Video Call—I Want My Data Protected

Today, I received an unexpected and unsettling video call on WhatsApp from a number with the country code +237, which I found out belongs to Cameroon—a country I have absolutely no personal or business connection with. I immediately blocked the number, but this kind of activity is extremely concerning.

I am deeply worried that my phone number or account information may have been compromised, and I want to make it clear that I do not authorize any third party to use my personal data. If my information is ever used to open a company, make a purchase, or incur debt in my name, I will not be held responsible—WhatsApp will be fully liable.
