Weewell WMA500 Baby Monitor Randomly Played Loud Music at Night
In 2024, I purchased a Weewell WMA500 baby monitor. With the first unit I received, I experienced a cable connection problem that caused the connection to constantly drop. Because of this, I had to replace the product and order a new unit of the same model. Unfortunately, the problems did not end with the replacement.
This time, I am experiencing a serious battery life problem. I can barely use the baby monitor wirelessly because the battery runs out so quickly. I constantly have to keep it plugged in and connected to a power cable just to use it. Having to walk around the house looking for an outlet and dealing with cables everywhere is simply not acceptable for a baby product. Even though there is no visible physical damage to the cables, the device sometimes fails to charge, which further undermines my confidence in the product.
There is also another issue that I consider much more serious. On two different nights, once at around 3:00 AM and another time at approximately 5:30 AM, the baby monitor suddenly started playing music at a very high volume on its own. At the time, both my baby and I were asleep. We were suddenly startled awake by the loud music, and my baby woke up frightened and crying. The monitor was sitting away from us, and nobody had touched or operated it. The fact that a baby product can suddenly produce loud sounds on its own, especially in the middle of the night, is extremely disturbing both from a safety perspective and emotionally.
I am extremely dissatisfied with this product because of both the charging and battery problems and the fact that it has unexpectedly started playing loud music in the middle of the night. I request a clear explanation of these issues and an appropriate solution. I would like the product to be replaced with a reliable, defect-free equivalent or for the purchase price to be fully refunded. I also specifically request that the issue of the monitor unexpectedly playing music on its own at night be thoroughly investigated and that I be informed of the findings.
