Accused of Opening Body Spray Testers at Watsons Arcadium

On June 21, 2024, around 7:30 PM, I visited the Watsons store in Arcadium, Ankara, to buy a body spray. While browsing, I found a scent I liked from the open, half-empty testers displayed in front of each product. However, I couldn't find a sealed bottle of the one I wanted.
As I approached the cashier to ask if they had a sealed bottle in stock, I was immediately confronted by a female employee. Before I could even ask my question, she aggressively accused me of opening a tester bottle, threatening to check the system to confirm her suspicion.
She claimed the bottle I brought didn't have a "tester" label, but I pointed out that none of the bottles did. It was as if she was completely unaware of the body spray shelf just a meter away from the cash register. I felt like I was being treated like a criminal for no reason.
After checking the system, she said, "Okay, it's not a tester, but it's an opened bottle." What does that even mean? Are they going to falsely accuse every customer who touches a bottle that's not labeled as a tester but is being used as one?
I was so offended by this treatment that I told them they could check the security cameras if they wanted. I left behind the other items I had planned to purchase and immediately left the store. Either organize your shelves properly or stop making these baseless accusations against your customers.
