Brand-New 2024 Volkswagen T-Cross Breaks Down Repeatedly Before Its First Birthday
I started experiencing serious problems with my 2024 Volkswagen T-Cross — a brand-new car — before even hitting the one-year mark. First came an AC failure and a fuel pump failure, followed by a series of electronic faults and various sensor warnings that began triggering while driving. Now, at just 19,500 kilometers, I'm hearing loud cracking and popping noises every time I shift into reverse.
I scheduled an appointment with Lena Otomotiv, the authorized Volkswagen service center in Bodrum, Muğla, for June 25th — I was going to drop off the car and pick up a loaner. But the day before my appointment, they called to tell me they had no loaner vehicles available and that they could look at the car at a later date. As a result, my car never even made it into the shop, and naturally no work or payment took place.
When I contacted customer service, they simply told me they had no loaner cars and could only help once one became available. The service center's failure to keep its word, the amateurish way this whole process has been handled, and the constant runaround have led me to genuinely suspect that my repairs are being deliberately delayed until my warranty expires. The fact that a brand-new car has broken down this many times this quickly — and that the authorized service center still can't offer a real solution — has completely soured me on the Volkswagen brand.
I am demanding that the faults in my vehicle be urgently diagnosed and permanently fixed, that all necessary work be carried out under warranty, and that a loaner vehicle be provided to compensate for the hardship I've experienced. I expect Volkswagen to take this situation seriously and to take the steps needed to prevent other customers from going through the same thing.
