Victoria's Secret Double Charged My Card With No Order
About four days ago, I tried to make an online purchase through the Victoria's Secret Turkey website. After filling my cart and completing all the required steps, I received an error message stating, “Your order could not be placed.” Since I believed the order had not been created, I tried the transaction again and encountered the same error.
I later checked my Yapı Kredi credit card statement and saw two separate charges of $106 each. In other words, I was charged for four products twice, for a total of approximately $212, even though no order appears in the system and there is no order number or confirmed transaction.
When I called customer service, the first representative I spoke with told me that the transactions were pending and that they would automatically be released once it was confirmed that the orders had not been completed. Later, another representative told me to send them the payment receipt and said that the order would appear once the payment was matched to it. I sent them the receipt, but there is still no order showing in my account, and I have not received any clear or definitive information. I have also not received a clear explanation regarding how or when the issue of the duplicate charges will be resolved.
I request that the two separate $106 charges for orders that were never completed be refunded to me as soon as possible, and that I be provided with clear written information about the status and resolution of this matter.
