Viagogo Sold Me a Ticket They Didn’t Have and Is Holding My Money for Months
Viagogo sold me a ticket they clearly didn’t have in their possession—and charged nearly double its actual value. Only after I made the payment did they inform me that I would have to wait until the event date for confirmation. If I had known upfront that they might not even have the ticket and could possibly substitute it or refund it last minute, I would have never made the purchase.
They are holding onto my money for months without delivering the product I paid for. This isn’t just unethical—it’s a financial offense. According to the Turkish Commercial Code, selling a product you don’t actually have violates the law. What they’re doing is misleading and goes against basic consumer rights.
If Viagogo can’t guarantee the ticket I paid for, they must refund my money immediately. I do not consent to them using my ₺ for weeks or months while I wait in uncertainty. This is unacceptable, and I will never buy anything from this platform again. I strongly urge others to avoid Viagogo and demand that the company stop operating in such a deceptive and legally questionable manner.
