VFS Global Istanbul: Czech Visa Appointment System Blocks Real Users
For approximately one week, I have been trying to book an appointment for a Czech Republic visa through VFS Global’s Istanbul application center, using my account registered under the name Eren C*** Ö*** with the email address erencan.oz***[email protected]. However, during this entire period I have encountered serious technical problems and restrictions in the online appointment system that prevent me from making an appointment. Within the last week, I have received the “access to your account has been restricted (429001)” warning four separate times and have been unable to log in to my account for at least one full day after each restriction. As a result, my access to the appointment screen has been repeatedly blocked and I have lost the opportunity to follow appointment availability regularly. On the appointment pages, many basic links redirect to incorrect sections and I encounter constant errors while navigating the website. In addition, the AI-powered chatbot integrated into the system appears to be configured for Tunisian visa procedures rather than Türkiye–Czech Republic and therefore provides irrelevant and unhelpful responses to my questions about the Czech Republic visa process. In the appointment search section, the so‑called “bot protection” measures also seriously hinder normal users. When I manually check a few times during the day to see whether there are any available appointments, my access is immediately restricted and I am logged out of the system, while automated bots that these measures are supposed to block seem to continue operating. In practice, these measures end up penalizing real applicants who are simply trying to follow appointment slots on their own. I request that the access restrictions applied to my account be lifted and that such restrictions not be imposed on users who only check appointment availability a few times a day. I also request that the misdirected links and other technical problems on the website be urgently fixed, and that the bot protection on the appointment page be reconfigured in a way that effectively blocks bots without preventing genuine users from accessing the system. Finally, I ask that the hardship I have suffered and the time I have lost due to being unable to reach an appointment during this period be taken into consideration in the handling of my application.
