I need to apply for a visa to go to Poland under the Erasmus program. My program start date is February 23, and in order to make it in time I must obtain a visa appointment as soon as possible. However, for about a month I have been regularly trying to get an appointment through the VFS Global and Polish Consulate system, but I cannot find any suitable date.
Even though all my documents are ready, my process is not progressing due to the overload or inadequacy of the systems, and I am facing the risk of being unable to participate in the Erasmus program. I have also taken out mandatory travel health insurance and incurred a financial obligation for it; however, because I cannot get an appointment, I am unable to use these preparations.
I contacted VFS Global Poland by e‑mail and reported the situation in detail. I was only given general advice that applies to everyone, such as refreshing the browser and checking appointments at specific time intervals. Despite repeatedly and consistently following all these suggestions, no appointments are still displayed in the system. I continuously check according to the times in the table, but nothing changes.
This situation seriously hinders my right to education and increases my hardship each day. I believe that students applying for a purely academic and educational program like Erasmus should be prioritized in this process and that the appointment system should be arranged accordingly.
I request that VFS Global and the Polish Consulate urgently improve the appointment system, provide a concrete solution specific to my application, and respond to me with a truly solution‑oriented approach instead of the same generic advice.
