I Face Severe FPS Drop in Valorant After Unreal Engine 5 and vgk.sys File Update
After Riot Games updated Valorant to Unreal Engine 5, my system, along with 20 others I personally know, started experiencing serious performance issues—specifically tied to the vgk.sys file within Vanguard. Before this update, my powerful setup could easily push 520 FPS, but now it struggles to reach anything close. This happened immediately after the engine transition, and we strongly believe the issue lies in the Vanguard anti-cheat system.
My account is ranked Ascendant 3, and I’ve invested ₺5,000+ into the game over time—including a recent ₺2,000 Valorant Points top-up on the same day the issue began. I’ve spent 84 KP and used all my Valorant points in-game. I truly enjoy Valorant, and I’m not here to ask for a refund. I’m asking Riot to fix this technical problem as soon as possible and ensure no damage is being caused to our systems by faulty files like vgk.sys.
This isn’t an isolated case—multiple users are suffering the same issue. I expect Riot to acknowledge and resolve this promptly so we can enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played.
