I'm writing to follow up on the request for approval for my daughter which seems to be not coming…. Catherine is to undergo a surgery for Pectus Excavatum. Her Haller Index is 4.2, and she experiences chest pain, shortness of breath and we think it’s urgent. We've been working with UHC to get approval, and her doctor submitted all the necessary documentation, including a peer-to-peer review. While we haven't received final approval yet, we're hopeful for a positive outcome based on the information provided, please be quick as this is getting really stressful for out family. If necessary of course, to ensure she receives the care she needs, we’ll switch to a different insurance company if that’ll streamline the approval process. We understand that insurance approvals can take time, but we're determined to get her the surgery recommended by her doctor.
