Uber Eats Inconsistent Delivery Fees: Same Restaurant, Same Time, Two Different Prices

On June 4, 2026, at 11:33 AM, I placed an order through Trendyol GO (Uber Eats) from Burger King totaling approximately $7. I was charged a delivery fee of approximately $0.54 on this order. At the same time and to the same address, a friend of mine placed an order from the exact same restaurant — and was charged no delivery fee at all.
When I called customer service to find out why, the representative I spoke with admitted they did not know what triggered the delivery fee charge and could not give me a clear explanation. Charging a delivery fee on one order but not another placed under identical conditions is, in my view, both inconsistent and misleading to consumers.
I am requesting a refund of the delivery fee charged on order #11290490530, and I am asking that the necessary checks be put in place to prevent this kind of seemingly arbitrary pricing from happening again. I would also like to note that if this matter is not resolved, I intend to file a formal complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
