Trip.com Displays Low Fares but Replaces Them With Higher Prices at Checkout
For about a month, I have been searching for flights on Trip.com and I keep encountering the same problem. Both on the website and in the mobile app, low-priced tickets are displayed, but once I select the ticket and proceed, urgent-sounding warnings appear such as “only 4 seats left,” followed by error messages like “This fare is no longer available” or “This ticket is sold out.”
After these warnings, when I search the same flight again, the initially displayed affordable prices disappear and are replaced with more expensive fares. This has happened repeatedly, and as a user, I have wasted time and felt misled because I cannot see the real, valid ticket prices from the beginning.
I request that Trip.com investigate this issue, ensure that users are shown real-time and accurate ticket prices from the start, adjust urgency warnings so that they reflect the truth, and resolve the inconvenience I have experienced.
