Trip.com Confirmed My Mahzen Cave Hotel Booking Then Canceled Due to “System Error”

March 28, 2025 9:00 PM31

On March 28, 2025, I booked and received confirmation for a stay at Mahzen Cave Hotel through Trip.com. Shortly after, the hotel contacted me directly via phone and WhatsApp, informing me that due to a “system error”, my reservation could not be honored because they had no available rooms.

They told me I’d need to contact Trip.com for a full refund, and assured me there would be no deductions. However, when I tried to reach Trip.com’s customer service, I found out their support only operates during limited hours and uses a +44 international number—which is completely inaccessible at the moment.

The hotel told me they emailed Trip.com to ensure my refund is processed correctly, but even that came with more confusion—they provided me with a completely unrelated reservation number that doesn’t match mine at all.

Trip.com, I demand that you take immediate action, confirm my correct booking details, and issue a full refund without any deductions. This mistake is not mine, and I shouldn’t be left chasing answers for a confirmed stay that never existed. Do better.
