I Experienced Grievance on Trendyol Due to Seller and Security Issues
On September 24 around 03:00, I was browsing TVs on the Trendyol app when I saw a promotional offer from a seller named Maykis and placed an order, trusting Trendyol. Just 10–15 minutes later, I got a call from a number starting with 0850, claiming to be a Trendyol customer representative. They said the seller had entered the wrong price, offered to cancel the order over the phone, and asked me to transfer the money to an IBAN they would provide so the TV could still be shipped. I hung up, suspecting fraud, and called Trendyol customer service in the morning. As expected, they confirmed no such practice exists. I told them if the seller didn’t ship the item, then I was being scammed by the seller, but if the product shipped, that would mean their system was hacked. They said thanks, that the issue would be handled. Now it’s September 26 and the item still hasn’t been shipped. When I called again, I was met with an uninterested and unhelpful attitude. I shop trusting Trendyol, not individual sellers, yet it seems either they are sharing our information or their system has been compromised, leaving us open to scams. Despite this, they take no responsibility. I’m sure many others have suffered the same. I didn’t cancel my order and will continue to follow up. We put our trust in Trendyol, but when our information is misused, they do nothing. For such a big company, this is truly disappointing.
I canceled my Trendyol Prime membership because they do not protect our rights and do not stand behind the sale. I contacted the company through the sales contract and they said, 'We don't have such a product in stock anyway, we won't send it, and eventually we will cancel it. If you want, you can cancel it yourself.' So today I will also cancel my order. Trendyol doesn't even bother to respond to complaints anyway.
