Front Windshield of My Toyota CHR Passion Cracked on Its Own
I purchased a Toyota CHR Passion from a Toyota dealership, and within three months, the front windshield cracked without any external impact. From my research, I found that this can happen due to temperature changes and static issues, leading to the glass breaking on its own. Despite this being a defect beyond my control, Toyota has not taken responsibility, leaving me with the repair costs.
The service team mentioned that even a small object dropped by a bird could cause the windshield to crack, which is quite concerning for a brand like Toyota. It’s surprising that the windshield is as fragile as a pair of glasses. When I left my car at the service center for a windshield replacement, the new windshield arrived already cracked, causing further delays.
I’m worried about what steps to take if the same issue occurs after the replacement. I believe that Toyota should share the cost of such damages that are clearly not the customer’s fault. What should I do if I face this problem again after the new installation? Your guidance and support would be greatly appreciated.
