Toshiba QLED TV Buzzing Noise and LED Fault Remain Unresolved

On November 13, 2024, I purchased a Toshiba 65QA5D63DT QLED TV with confidence and enthusiasm, knowing that it was manufactured and backed by Vestel. Despite the television still being under warranty, an irritating buzzing and crackling noise coming from inside the unit has seriously affected my viewing experience. To resolve the issue, I contacted Vestel's authorized service center and filed a repair request.

On September 14, 2026, an authorized service technician came to my home and collected the television. Following an inspection, the technician verbally informed me that the device had a power supply fault and an LED malfunction. I was not asked to pay any repair fees for these defects. The television was returned to me on October 2, 2026, but the buzzing noise and LED-related problem remain exactly the same.

Throughout this process, I have not received the professional and customer-focused service I expected from Vestel and Toshiba. Although the authorized service center clearly identified the faults, I have been offered a refund based on the original invoice amount, which is far below the television's current market value. The justification given is that the product cannot be repaired and that no equivalent Toshiba QLED TV is available in stock. Under current market conditions, it is practically impossible for me to purchase a new QLED TV with the amount being offered.

I chose the world-renowned Toshiba brand because I trusted Vestel's manufacturing quality and after-sales service. However, this experience has shown me that Vestel is not taking an approach that adequately protects consumers or remedies the inconvenience they have suffered.

Under Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection, I request that my defective television be replaced free of charge with an equivalent Toshiba QLED TV that reflects current market standards, or that a fair alternative solution be offered that takes current market conditions into account and does not leave me at a disadvantage. Otherwise, I will exercise my legal rights and file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
