Tesla Refused to Replace My Spare Tire Unless I Buy a New One from Them
One of my Tesla’s tires has a cut and clearly needs to be changed. I have a spare tire ready to go, and I know that due to the battery pack underneath, the car requires special care while lifting to avoid potential damage. So, I did the responsible thing and called Tesla Service for assistance.
I explained that it's not safe to drive, that I already have a compatible spare, and that I’m willing to pay whatever it costs—I just wanted the tire replaced professionally. But the response I got was completely unacceptable: “We won’t install your spare. If you want us to help, you need to buy a tire from us and book a service appointment.”
Are you serious, Tesla? I’m not asking for free help—I’m asking for basic service on a safety-critical issue. You sell vehicles that require special handling and then refuse to support owners unless they buy your products?
