Temu App In-Chat Free Order Scam
I recently placed several orders through the Temu app after chatting with someone on the in‑app chat who told me to keep placing “free” orders. I shared my bank card details in order to complete these orders, and although I was told that the orders would be free, about R600 has already been deducted from my bank account today. My concern is that I am being asked again and again in the Temu chat to place more orders even though I have not yet received any of the previous deliveries. I am trying to verify whether I am really dealing with Temu through the official app chat or with someone misusing the platform, because the situation feels unsafe and confusing. I am not objecting to the normal payments if these are genuine Temu orders, but I am very worried about being pushed to keep ordering while nothing has been delivered yet, and money continues to be taken from my account. I would like Temu to check my account, confirm whether these communications and deductions are legitimate, explain clearly why R600 has been taken, and ensure that I am not being misled or scammed via the in‑app chat. I also want my pending orders delivered as promised or, if they cannot be fulfilled, an appropriate refund.
