Telegram Failed to Stop Repeated Crypto Scam Messages

In December 2025, I started receiving scam messages on Telegram from a user with the nickname @jonspaid001 and from Nigerian phone numbers such as +23490387418** and +23481384961**. The person first tried to get acquainted, then offered “help” with earning money, but only after paying a so‑called bank commission. Similar messages and offers using the same scheme began to appear regularly from different numbers, which became very intrusive and suspicious. I had 40 dollars available on the Binance exchange and, following the instructions of this person, I tried to pay the commission. After that, I received a new message that the commission was supposedly insufficient and that I needed to pay again. At this point, it became clear that this was a fraudulent scheme aimed only at repeatedly extorting money, so I stopped communication and blocked the number. In total, because of this scam, I lost 493 dollars through transactions on Binance. This is my first formal complaint about this situation. I am asking Telegram to take this case seriously, investigate the activity of the account @jonspaid001 and the related Nigerian numbers, permanently block these scammers, and, as far as possible, assist in returning my funds of 493 dollars that were lost via Binance due to fraudulent actions organized through Telegram. I also ask you to strengthen protection against such spam and fraud so that other users do not become victims of the same scheme.
