I Face Telegram Blackmail With Threats, Personal Data Exposure

On September 10, 2025, around 23:00, I was contacted on Telegram by a user with the name E* and the handle e*. After I accidentally accessed a suspicious website, this person threatened me by claiming to have private photos and videos of both me and my relatives. They also reached out directly to my family members, sending them threatening messages.

At first, this person extorted ₺100, and shortly after demanded an additional ₺9,500, which I ended up transferring to a bank account under the name ÖK**** via IBAN. Despite paying, the harassment and threats left me deeply distressed. I later deleted the chat messages and blocked the user, but I am still very concerned about the safety of my relatives and the possibility of further blackmail attempts.

So far, I have not reported this incident to the police or to Telegram Support because I was unable to reach them.

My Requests

I demand that this user’s Telegram account be permanently suspended to prevent further blackmail attempts.

Telegram should take urgent measures to block such sextortion and financial fraud schemes.

I request that Telegram notify me of the actions taken and ensure that similar incidents are prevented.

Given that my family members have already been targeted, I urge Telegram to implement stronger protective measures for users’ security and privacy.

This was a case of threat, blackmail, and financial extortion carried out through Telegram. I expect immediate action to safeguard me, my relatives, and other users from such criminal activities.
