I Face Telegram Blackmail Attempt With Threats and ₺5000 Payment Demand

Yesterday, I received a disturbing message on Telegram from an unknown person. The first message said simply “Show”, but shortly after, the same person sent sexually explicit demands. When I refused, they escalated the situation by blackmailing me, demanding ₺5000 and providing an IBAN under the name “B I**”** for the payment.

I want to emphasize that I did not make any payment. However, I was threatened and left distressed by this extortion attempt. The account that contacted me appears to be registered on Telegram under the name a*. My Telegram username/phone number is 543473**.** Unfortunately, I do not have screenshots or other proof, but the conversation and threats happened directly in the app.

My Concerns

This account is engaging in sextortion and financial fraud attempts.

I am worried that the same individual may continue to target me or other users.

Such scams can cause psychological stress and financial loss for unsuspecting victims.

My Requests

The account involved in this blackmail attempt should be investigated and permanently suspended.

Telegram should strengthen protections against blackmail, sextortion, and financial scams.
