I Face Blackmail on Telegram After Clicking a WhatsApp Link — Private Photos Used for Extortion
On October 22, 2025, I clicked on a link sent to me via WhatsApp, and shortly afterward, my Telegram account was accessed without my consent. Then, my private photos were sent back to me, and I was threatened — the perpetrators demanded money in exchange for deleting those images.
At first, I made a bank transfer of about $62, but they said it wasn’t enough and continued their threats and demands. When I stopped responding to their messages, they began calling me, and when I answered, I heard a man speaking in a foreign language. I am still receiving threatening and disturbing messages from the same number (+23*75672).
At the time of the incident, my Telegram account had no security protections such as two-step verification. I request that Telegram take immediate action to block and remove individuals involved in such criminal activity and to implement stronger security measures to prevent others from experiencing similar harm.
