SunExpress Refused Damage Report for Broken Samsonite Luggage
At the end of my SunExpress Izmir–Copenhagen flight XQ0924 on June 10, 2026, I received my Samsonite carry-on suitcase in damaged condition. The zipper was broken, and the carry handle was completely snapped off. I purchased this suitcase two years ago for approximately 1,500 DKK, and due to this damage, it has now become unusable.
I immediately reported the situation at the airport complaint desk and requested that a damage assessment and report be issued. However, the staff member told me that SunExpress would not cover this damage and that no damage report would be provided, effectively closing the case on the spot. This approach has left me extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, both in terms of passenger rights and customer service.
I request that SunExpress compensate me either for the value of my suitcase or for reasonable repair costs resulting from the damage that occurred during my flight, and that I receive a written response explaining the outcome of this process.
