I Face Baggage Damage on SunExpress Flight — Samsonite Suitcase Cracked After Arrival
On October 20, 2025, I traveled on SunExpress’s Amsterdam–Izmir flight. When I retrieved my luggage upon arrival, I discovered a serious crack on the body of my Samsonite suitcase. I immediately filed a damage report at the airport and submitted a claim to SunExpress representatives. However, after their inspection, my claim was rejected on the grounds that the damage supposedly did not affect the functionality of the suitcase.
In reality, my suitcase was expensive and nearly new, and the crack has deformed its structure, making it difficult to use properly. My case number is SUN-09790741.
I request that SunExpress compensate for the damage and provide assistance by either repairing or replacing my suitcase, as the damage clearly occurred during their handling and has caused me inconvenience.
