I Can’t Refund a Steam Game Even Though It’s Broken After 2 Hours of Play
Hello. I didn’t want to name the brand at first, but I have no choice—this is about Steam. I purchased a game that turned out to be problematic and completely unenjoyable. Unfortunately, I went slightly over the 2-hour playtime limit before realizing how flawed it was. Now, Steam’s system is blocking my refund request solely because of that time rule.
This rigid policy doesn’t account for players who give a game a fair shot before deciding it’s not worth keeping. I didn’t abuse the system, I just needed a little more time to evaluate the content. The game doesn’t work as promised, and I’m stuck with it.
Steam, your automated refund system needs human oversight and flexibility. I demand a refund for this game and urge you to consider exceptions for cases where a product doesn’t meet expectations.
