Stayforlong Charged Me $23 More Than Shown, Then Blamed My Bank
On June 17th at 00:15, I made a reservation for a stay at the Zanike Hotel in Trabzon, through the Stayforlong website, for the dates July 24-27. Although the total amount shown on the reservation screen was $650, an extra $23 was charged from my Yapı Kredi debit card, resulting in a total charge of $673. I noticed this difference immediately at the moment of payment, i.e., during the transaction itself.
No notification was given regarding this additional charge on the payment screen or at any stage of the site. After the transaction, I contacted Stayforlong via email through the site, but initially received no response. Following a complaint I filed here, they got back to me and stated that this additional amount was not related to them and that this charge had been applied by my bank, Yapı Kredi. My reservation number is 178013709311.
I am requesting that the extra $23 charged from my card without any notification be urgently and fully refunded to the same bank account. I am attaching the payment receipt as evidence to this complaint.
