Spoticar Sold Me a Ford Focus With More Repairs Than Disclosed
In April 2025, I purchased a 2020 Ford Focus through Spoticar from Peugeot Öztek dealership. When I purchased the vehicle, I was told that the dealership had conducted its own inspection and that the only replaced part was the front left fender, with no other repairs or work having been performed on the vehicle. When I requested a copy of the inspection report, I was told that they could not provide it and that they could only give me the information verbally. Trusting the Peugeot dealership and the Spoticar brand, I purchased the vehicle based on these representations.
On June 29, 2026, when I decided to sell the vehicle, I had it inspected again. The inspection revealed that the vehicle had undergone significantly more repairs than I had originally been told. The inspection showed that the front left fender and front left door had been replaced, the inner fender had been repaired, the front bumper had been repainted, and the front right fender had also been repaired. In other words, the vehicle was not simply a car with a replaced front left fender, as the dealership had represented when I purchased it.
Because of this inaccurate and incomplete information, we were forced to sell the vehicle for significantly less than its market value and suffered a financial loss of approximately $2,888. I request that Spoticar and Peugeot Öztek take responsibility for the information they provided when selling the vehicle, compensate me for the financial loss I suffered, and conduct the necessary investigation to prevent similar situations from happening again.
I also want to warn anyone considering purchasing a vehicle to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this dealership and to carefully verify the vehicle's history and inspection details before making a purchase.
