Spoticar Refused to Refund My Hyundai i20 Inspection Fee

I agreed to purchase a Hyundai i20 from Spoticar after being told that the vehicle had been fully serviced and that all of its maintenance was up to date. However, when I had the vehicle independently inspected, I discovered that the maintenance was not actually up to date as I had been told.

The inspection revealed that the tires, brake discs, and brake pads were all severely worn and needed to be replaced. Since the dealership did not offer a sufficient discount to cover the cost of these necessary repairs and replacements, we decided not to proceed with the purchase.

Although my deposit was refunded, the inspection fee I paid was not. I only paid for the inspection because I was seriously considering purchasing the vehicle based on the information provided by Spoticar. Since the inspection revealed that the vehicle's actual condition was significantly different from what I had been told, I believe it is unfair for me to be left responsible for this additional expense.

I therefore request a full refund of the inspection fee I paid. I also expect Spoticar to review how the vehicle's condition and maintenance status were communicated to customers and take the necessary steps to prevent similar situations from occurring again.
