I took my 2022 Skoda Kodiaq for maintenance at the authorized service on September 19, 2024, where they assured me that the battery and other systems were in perfect condition. However, just a week later, the car started having trouble starting in the mornings. I contacted And Oto in Ankara, and when I brought the car in, they replaced the battery without any inspection.
I expected this to be covered under the goodwill warranty, but instead, they dismissed it with the excuse that "it’s normal for a 2-year-old battery to die," which is absurd! A battery's lifespan is typically 4-5 years, and anything less points to a manufacturing defect. Skoda has been a huge disappointment, and even after doing all the maintenance at authorized service centers, they refused to cover the battery under warranty. Skoda ownership has turned into regret!
