New Siemens Fridge Develops Stains, Company Demands $460 for Replacement
I purchased a Siemens refrigerator, and since January 8, 2026, I have been experiencing a serious issue involving rust and mildew. Rust and mildew have formed on the lower left exterior side of the refrigerator, which has caused me to lose confidence in the product’s quality and durability.
I contacted Siemens technical service regarding this problem, but I was told that the issue was my fault and that they would not take responsibility. I do not accept this explanation, because a refrigerator should not develop rust and mildew on its exterior in such a short time under normal household use.
I am requesting that my refrigerator be replaced with a new unit at no cost. I expect Siemens to take responsibility for this defect and to provide a prompt, fair, and customer-oriented solution.
At the start of the process, after several meetings with the service and customer service departments about a situation that seemed unsolvable and caused hardship, Ms. Başak took over the case, and I have received an answer to the question "Why Siemens for this price?" during my purchase, changing my view of the Siemens brand.
