Unusual Request at a Shell Gas Station in Istanbul

Hello, unfortunately, on September 30, 2023, between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, I tried to make a credit card purchase for cigarettes at the Shell gas station located at Esentepe, D-100 South Side Road No: 21, 34870 Kartal/Istanbul, which is operated by Hilal Petro. Unfortunately, the cashier at the convenience store disappointingly mentioned that they couldn't earn a commission on cigarettes and reluctantly suggested that if I added another item to my purchase, they could reluctantly accept payment by credit card. I am disappointed by this situation and would like the relevant branch to investigate it.
