SHEIN Price Increase On Check Out

I am a customer in South Africa, and I have noticed a very concerning issue with price changes on Shein during checkout. When I add an item to my cart, for example, art paper listed at R136, the price increases to around R156 once I tick the box and proceed to checkout, even though the product itself has not changed. This means the same item suddenly becomes more expensive at the final step of the purchase. I first noticed this about a month ago when placing an order, and I have experienced the same problem again today, 2 March 2026. The system only shows the higher total after the increase has already been applied to the individual items, which makes it very hard to see exactly where and why the extra amount is added. I find this very misleading, and it feels like cheating, because the price shown initially is not the same price that I end up paying at checkout. I have not been able to find any clear contact details to raise this issue directly with Shein, so I am explaining it here. I request a clear and detailed explanation of why the prices of specific items increase when proceeding to checkout, and on what basis this extra amount is being charged. I find this practice unacceptable, and I believe it should be corrected immediately so that customers can see the final and accurate price of each item before checkout, without hidden increases.
